Counselling Services

  • Our lives can be filled with unexpected surprises … some of which are so large that they threaten to change the way we live.

This type of crisis can create panic … and making decisions in a panic is unhealthy; creating more problems in the long-term.

If you have found yourself in the middle of a crisis like this, then please, let us help you.

We are exceptionally good at listening and understanding.

  • Women are the ‘emotion health’ of a family. If we aren’t doing well, then everyone suffers; especially ourselves.

There are a lot of responsibilities and expectations on us.

If you find that you are struggling in your relationships or in your parenting … or feeling depressed and filled with self-doubt, then please give us a call.

    We want to help.

  • Men are told to be strong and resourceful … and in relationships or in parenting, compassionate and emotionally available.

These can be hard things to mix together … with lots of expectations on us.

If you are struggling with these expectations, or are feeling depressed or just ‘not yourself’, then come and see us. We get that.

Give us a call and ask for Dallas, he’s a good man.

  • There is nothing … nothing more terrible and sad than this.

We have no words that will take away this kind of pain. What we have for you is deep love and deep compassion.

Please come see us. Please come share the loss of your child with us.

    We understand.

  • If you love deeply, you are going to get hurt badly.

It is hard to describe the sadness that we feel when we have lost someone we have loved.

There really aren’t words for it.

If you find that you are ‘lost in grief’ then please come see us.

We want to be with you.

  • Doing ‘family life’ can be hard.

If you are finding that your family is struggling in an unhealthy way, or that you would like to ‘tweak’ some aspects of your family dynamics. Give us a call.

We might have some ideas and perspectives that may help your situation.

  • The best intervention for your relationship is prevention.

But if you’re like the rest of us, we didn’t think about prevention until it was too late.

Most of us struggle through our relationships without getting ‘outside’ help, and only consider talking to a counsellor after things have ‘boiled over’.

If this is your situation, or if you just want to ‘tweak’ some aspects of the relationship, then give us a call.

We would love to hear your story.

Additional Services

In addition to our counselling services
we are also pleased to support our community
in these brilliant and helpful ways.

  • We are very happy to have supplies available for young families. We usually have formula, diapers, wipes, clothing, layettes starter kits, and other necessary items for your young child … we also have maternity clothing.

At times we are also provided with other items that we are happy to offer to our clients.

Everything we have has been donated by kind and caring people!

  • We offer these two excellent parenting programs:

    Nobody’s Perfect
A one-on-one parenting program for parents with children who are newborn and up to age five years old. A participation certificate will be given at the completion of the program.

    Fuel for Families Program
An online group for families with children ages five years old and under. We teach and discuss on parent and child activities, and attachment and bonding skills.

    Building Healthy Families
A group for families who are expecting a baby and for parents who have a baby under 12 months old. Meeting both in person and online, families receive information about nutrition, budgeting, healthy lifestyle, post-partum, low cost meal preparation, and adjusting to being a new parent. One-on-one meetings are also offered along with self-care item drop-offs.

  • As needed, we host workshops addressing subjects such as marriage, parenting, healthy relationships, and personality development.

Note: Since COVID we have not initiated any new workshops.

  • It has been our privilege to visit and care for women who have been incarcerated and are at the Headingly ‘Women’s Correctional Centre’.

Supporting them emotionally and specifically addressing the grief and sadness they experience over the apprehension of their children.
